Ashley and Patrick as Sweet as a Hersheys!

December 30, 2009 |

A little overdue, but I am finally posting Ashley and Patrick’s wedding preview.  The holidays have been crazy and I have been all over the place… all the way from KY to TX and then back to GA and trying to get caught up before the new year.  It was an incredible wedding and I am so proud to be sharing it with you….from the chocolate brown bridesmaid dresses to the Hershey’s bars and cake ….it is chocolaty delicious wedding!  Ashley’s day started at Signature Salon where her friend Alisha Denney (478-737-5660) dolled up her makeup and then Christen Thompson completed her look with a fab updo.

Ashley the now Mrs. Hoye wore a cute bridal hoodie that was passed down to her from her MOH, Mrs. Andrea Gable!  I esp loved the Kate Spade shoes along with her other personal items (grandparent’s hankies as well as her mother’s pearl bracelet).

How cute are these shoes…. they are so Ashley.

Ashley’s dress was breathtaking.  It was a custom design by Christopher Davidson at Christopher’s in Gainesville,  GA. (770) 534-1904‎0

From what I hear he is the man to see if you cannot find what you are looking for….he will just make it!!!

Ashley’s sweet Mama, Tammy, helped her into the gown.

The Flowers!  Once again the fabulous Allison Lucas (478-471-9590) out did herself.  Beautiful flowers!  I think my fav was the artichoke flower mixed into the bridesmaid bouquets.

During some down time I took Ashley and a couple of her bridesmaids into this hidden away ladies room for some incredible bridals.  Thanks to the lovely bridesmaids that were my video light holders!  I love how these images came out….so vintage and stunning.

I love this shot (another of Koutsunis’!!!) that was taken of the guys headed over to the front of the church.

The guys really got into the group jump.

Now that is a million dollar smile!

Ashley sent Patrick a sweet little note before the ceremony.

Right at sunset it was time to head down the aisle for a romantic candle light ceremony.

blog_0027

I think Patrick was happy… I am not sure if that smile could get any wider.

Sometimes the most romantic moments of a wedding happen in the hallway of a church basement.

For any photographers out there:  don’t hesitate to use your car as an additive light source!  Heheh!  Yep we used the headlights from our beetle to help with these two shots.  Awesomeness!

Next we arrived at beautiful Idle Hour Country Club for the reception.

The club catered all the amazing food…. deeelish.  Ashley and Patrick snuck away into a downstairs room to have a little dinner before meeting their guests….A GREAT plan for all brides and grooms.

During the father/daughter dance Ashley’s daddy serenaded her to “Be young, be foolish, but be Happy!”

Bride’s cake was a traditional five tiered white cake. Beautiful work by Bobbie Jo Carver. ([email protected])

Patrick’s favorite candy is a Hershey bar so for the groom’s cake they had a Hershey bar cake.  She and He are just soooo Sweeeet!

The champagne toast!

During the reception the couple took a few minutes to sneak out a take a photo opt with Ashley’s dad’s Cutlass Supreme! Both Patrick and Ashley’s daddy (Charlie) work for Five Star Automotive Group, they are hardcore car people!  The Cutlass is smokin hot and was also the get away car!

Now let me just tell you how awesome this band was.  The Atlanta Rhythm & Groove kept the dance floor fun the entire night.  They channeled the Supremes, James Brown, and even Prince. They were just incredible! Not only were they awesome to dance to, but they were a blast to watch and photograph.

I am not kidding this guy actually turned into the Godfather of Soul!

The Hoyes, Cantrells and company can dance!  They did the spotlight dance, the train, they went down low, and they came up loud and they danced all night long!  It was a wonderful celebration of the joining of two very sweet people and their awesome friends and families.

details1-8

When the band finally stopped and it was time to go, the couple ran though petals to their honeymoon.  The guests were escorted home by the awesome people at Zingo.  They ride over on a folding motorbike and drive guests home who had a little too much fun at the party.  Seriously!  Isn’t that an awesome idea?!?

blog_0058

Thanks so much Ashley and Patrick for having me as part of your wedding day it was truly a joy to celebrate alongside of you and your friends and family. I cannot wait to share your entire wedding with you and may God bless you into the new year!
