Catherine & Brian: WED!

December 21, 2012 |

I am so excited to share Catherine and Brian’s big day with you! Catherine is a planner (not professionally, although maybe she should think about it). And she had so many creative ideas, so this wedding was chock full of gorgeous details! The ladies at Two Friends Events did an amazing job of making Catherine’s vision come to life! Their wedding day was simply gorgeous! I mean look at that beautiful sky! The day began at Catherine’s parents’ home, where the girls got ready.

Catherine’s gorgeous Olia Zavozina gown.
Catherine’s dress was very sentimental. She chose it from a bridal salon that was next door to the restaurant where she and Brian had their first date. The dress she chose was called “Treasure” because the buttons on the back of the dress are real pearls. After the wedding the pearls are taken off and strung into a necklace that I’m sure will become a family heirloom. What a sweet idea! And since Catherine’s a sentimental gal, she also chose to wear her mom’s veil on her wedding day.

Catherine had some very sweet bridal details. Her something old was her mother’s veil; something new was the pair of earrings she wore. Her something borrowed was a handkerchief that belonged to her grandmother. All of her cousins carried this particular hankie as a family tradition on their wedding days.  Her something blue was a sapphire that Brian gave her. She had it set in a bracelet. Even Brian had some sentimental details. He wore cufflinks with a map of both of their hometowns, and his ring was engraved with their wedding date.

The bridesmaids celebrated the big day by drinking mimosas from these gorgeous handpainted glasses. The guys enjoyed a frosty brew from these rad moustache glasses.

Catherine had her shoes designed by Design Your Pedestal to match her dress.

The beautiful Bride!
A few bridals on the staircase.
Catherine carried pennies in her bouquet because of a poem that reminded her of her grandmother. Part of it reads: “Found pennies come from heaven / that’s what my Grandpa told me / He said angels toss them down / Oh how I love that story!”  Since it was her daddy’s mama he tied them into the flowers for her.
A few bridals in the warm GA sunshine!

Her mother’s veil was simply perfect and meant so much to her.

Catherine’s bouquet, Brian’s boutonniere and all the beautiful flowers were by Allison Lucas, and they were fabulous as always!
Brian, the handsome groom

Catherine and Brian chose this gorgeous spot near her family’s property to see each other for the first time. You can see more of the romantics we shot there in the first look.

Such a perfect couple.

Catherine works as an associate buyer for Tractor Supply and actually purchases the fencing and posts that you see in this image to sell in Tractor Supply stores all over the country….it was truly the perfect spot for their first look.

Lovely wind makes for some fun romantics.

So cute! Love those argyles, Brian!

After romantics we headed to another lovely spot to meet up with their fun wedding party for more photos!
The ladies were lovely in blue and yellow!

Catherine’s cousin, Courtney, was her MOH and the perfect model for the bridesmaid details.  All the girls rocked some beautiful pearls.

The gentleman.

I love this… we did a 10 second position swap… check out the guy that landed on top of the hay bale like a flying eagle!  LOL

Where everyone ended up!

Aww, we had to snag a quick pic with little Raggs.  She was Catherine’s pup… but has been adopted by Catherine’s parents.
Joining 2 families. . . Both sets of parents are still happily married after all these years. It’s wonderful to see the example they’ve set for their children!
Off to Gray United Methodist Church to tie the knot!
I loved their custom C & B!
Catherine’s parents tied the knot in this very same church 35 years ago.

I just loved that the guys all rocked awesome socks while the ladies had a fun pop of yellow in their heels!
How cute is that?
Getting excited right before the ceremony!

The happy Mr. and Mrs. Brian GallagherThey came right out of the church and directly onto the trolley to head back to Macon for the reception!

Let the party begin!

Catherine and Brian had their reception at The Terminal Station, which is an old train station in downtown Macon. So we decided to have a little fun and do a few shots with the newlyweds and their luggage at the boarding platform and out on the tracks.

So romantic.

I feel like I am shooting an old movie!

The sunlight was just gorgeous!

Catherine and Brian’s reception was decorated with vintage luggage. One suitcase was filled with the wedding favor: GooGoo bars from Tennessee, where Brian and Catherine live. Another was on the gift table and held all the cards from guests.

Catherine thought of EVERYTHING, from yellow and gray paper straws in Mason jars to their monogrammed napkins. The big banquet table in the terminal station was simply perfect for this beautiful space!

Since Catherine and Brian live in Nashville, they chose a guitar for guests to sign instead of a guest book. It was surrounded by wedding pictures of their parents and grandparents. Instead of a traditional intro of the wedding party, all of the couple’s friends danced in!

First Dance!

All the florals were also by Allison Lucas!  I loved her wedding invitation and luggage tag Save the Date.
We had to take a few pics on the catwalk!

Oh yum! Check out the amazing food by Kudzu Catering.
Catherine, turning the camera on me.
Catherine’s yummy cake was by Amanda’s Cakery. The vintage cake topper she chose looked very much like her parents’ cake topper. Since Brian loves golf, he chose a Masters cake. Along with the cakes, Brian and Catherine had a s’mores bar. Yummm!

Every little detail was personal and meticulously planned by Catherine and the ladies of Two Friends Events. Even the table cards and food cards were significant. Catherine’s great-grandma loved cross stitch, so each label was a cross stitch sampler.Cheers!
Reunion kept the crowd dancing into the night.
Then it was off to the honeymoon!

Thanks for sharing your awesome day with me, Catherine and Brian! Hope you have a Merry married Christmas!
