Emily & Adam’s Wedding in the Vineyard

April 16, 2009 |

The weather was amazing for Emily and Adam’s outdoor ceremony on April 4th!!  We were all so thankful for the awesome sunshine!  It rained all week leading up to their day…and by rain I mean large parts of GA were under flood watch.  The wedding was held at Meinhardt Vineyard, as a sunset ceremony overlooking the gorgeous grounds!  Emily got ready at the Statesboro Inn.  They had all kinds of fab places to photograph her details….and man did she have some awesome details.

First. Her something blue ….. shoes!

She had the most complicated bustle I have ever seen.. it was even color coded.

I love her ring… it looks kinda like mine… not that I am biased or anything.

emilygray2974-editAfter all the girls were dolled up we headed to the vineyard for photos before the wedding.  We had so many bridals in the vineyard that I thought I would post one of my faves that was taken in front of the pines.

There were four flower girls and one junior bridesmaid that were part of the day.  Three of them are Emily’s nieces… and only a couple of days after the wedding she was blessed with a fourth niece!  But how cute are these girls?

The groom looked dashing in his lime green tie.

blog0022We had to have a shot with the tractor. It went with the wedding colors.

I love this shot Koutsunis took of them chillin’ at the wine bar.

Oh, remember here where I said Emily did something really cool with her bridal portrait?  Well here it is…she printed a canvas and hung it on an old door.  A really cool touch to her shabby chic wedding theme.

blog0058Between the cake and the candy bar the guests were sure to have a sugar rush.  The cake charm pulls were another special touch.

Her yummy cake was done by Lorraine Zipperer….oh and it was red velvet!blog0059

If you ever are down in the ‘boro you have to check this place out and enjoy a sunset.

A sweet bonus of having their wedding at a vineyard is everyone was able to sample the local wine.

My favorite part of the reception was when Emily’s uncle told the story of the Nuernberg Bridal Cup.  It has become a family tradition for the bride and groom to share a toast out of this special chalice that is designed for the couple to drink out of at the same time.  You can read the story here. blog-21All the lovely ladies pulling the cake charms.

blog0079I knew this was coming.

Emily and Adam ran through bird seed!  I know Emily was dying to know who put bird seed down  her dress…  here’s the evidence.

A BIG thanks to Emily and Adam and their friends and family that put so much into making the day wonderful!  I really enjoyed getting to spend such a special day with you!

I cannot wait to show you more!
