M is for Milling: Kyle & JoJo

June 18, 2018 |

Jojo and Kyle’s wedding was so beautiful and filled with love and laughter. It was the perfect wedding to kick off this spring’s wedding season!  There were so many wonderful emotions that I had the honor of capturing! I am thrilled to share some of my favorite moments and details here!

We started the day with Jojo and her sweet wedding party at B Monroe Salon. While the ladies were primped and pampered, they got to relax with a little champagne and lots of laughs.

Nothing like a rooftop toast with your favorite girls to start your wedding day off right!

Then it was off to the church, Mulberry Methodist, to get in the dress! Jojo has the sweetest family. Her sister and her mom helped her into the gorgeous gown from La Raine’s Bridal. The always fabulous, Angie Hardison not only made sure the dress fit Jojo perfectly down to the last detail, but she also let the bride borrow her blue sapphire earrings!

The back of this dress was my favorite part! The train also comes off to transform it into the perfect reception dress!  I love a Daddy/daughter first look. So sweet!

It really was a family affair! This bridal bouquet by Lynn Stevens at Petals was beyond gorgeous!

Not only did Jojo have a first look with her dad, but she also wanted to have one with her bridesmaids. I love how Jojo savored every moment of the big day by creating special memories with all of her favorite people.

These ladies were just so much fun!  I had the honor of photographing Mrs Haleigh Watwood’s wedding last year! It’s always so fun to have a bride that is in my bridal party!  What a beautiful bride!

The handsome groom, Kyle
Jojo and Kyle are a traditional couple, and they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony. But they did take a quiet moment together before the ceremony. Jojo’s dad walked her down the aisle to meet her groom in the traditional ceremony at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in downtown Macon.

Look at Kyle’s face as he watches his lovely bride walk down the aisle towards him. I love this moment!  The happy couple, Mrs. & Mrs. Kyle Milling! After the ceremony, the whole wedding party took the short walk down the block to the Library Ballroom for the reception….but made a pit stop at the Grand for a photo opt!   Such a sweet first dance. And check out the flowers suspended from the ceiling! Amazing!  The delicious cakes were by Mary Virginia Kay-Gage.  The bride’s all white cake was lovely and elegant. And the groom had a chocolate cake celebrating his love of Auburn University, complete with a rolled Toomer’s oak. Incredible!  Y’all, the flowers at this wedding were so beautiful! Lynn Stevens really outdid herself! After sneaking away for a few romantic photos downtown, the couple danced the night away with their friends and family. Norris Dates and Power Surge kept the crowd on the dance floor.

After one last dance, it was off through the sparklers to the getaway car, her daddy’s awesome vintage VW Beetle.

Jojo & Kyle, thanks for letting me be a part of your special day!

Love, Jenny Evelyn
