William’s Walk with a Vision

This past Saturday Koutsunis and I loaded up the dog(Kensie) and went to William’s Walk which is a walk to benefit the foundation for Retinal Research’s 5K event. William is the nephew of my dear friend Elizabeth. He was diagnosed with LCA at 5 1/2 months old. If you are an American Idol fan that may sound familiar. Scott MacIntyre is one of the final contestants on this season’ s show and also has LCA. So we joined in with about 250 0thers for the walk. We jogged a little of it, but I had my camera in tow so we walked the majority of it.

The walk was held at beautiful Lane Packing in Fort Valley, GA. The setting and weather was incredible!

After the walk they had a couple of bouncy houses set up. Here is William bouncing down the slide.
oh that’s right…Koutsunis and I went bouncing too!
