Earlier this fall, Koutsunis and I headed up to Philadelphia to shoot Erin and Sean’s wedding. This was a special wedding for me because Erin is one of my friends from high school, and I feel so honored that I got to be a part of her day. It was so much fun getting to know Sean and seeing first hand how perfect they are together… And what a great place to get married: The City of Brotherly LOVE! We started the day at Toppers Spa and Salon. I just love Erin’s hair! Erin’s gorgeous gown by Jim Hjelm.Erin and Sean wanted to see each other before they walked down the aisle, so they chose to have their first look in the gardens at the Colonial Dames where their wedding was to take place. They are such a low key couple and it was perfect for them to have a few quiet moments together before the ceremony.
So Sweet!
Typical Erin!
The McDermotts.
Next we took a little walk near the Dames for some cool places to shoot.
Sean is a small business owner and so Erin said he is always takin’ care of business on his cell.
Erin is a beautiful bride! And Sean is a dashing groom! We lucked up and the sun popped out from behind the clouds for just a minute…. I just love this light!
I just love these!
Erin has always had that twinkle in her eyes!
I love this spot for a few romantics!
Sean really has the best smile!
This random jogger, trotted by right in the middle of us shooting…. too Funny!!!
I also had to post a collage of all the silly Erin smooch poses… she is such a ham, it was so hard getting a real photograph of her!
But, when I did she brought it! I love these!
Erin’s beautiful flowers. After our little shoot we headed back to Colonial Dames where a small ceremony was held for just the immediate family.
Erin’s daddy gave her away.
The vows were sweet.
RingsKissing his bride.
My favorite shot from the whole day was when Sean grabbed his bride and gave her this big hug… it was pure sweetness.
I just love small weddings! It is so cool when I can capture all the wedding guests in one shot. You might recognize one of my other high school friends, Donna, who made the trip up to Philly to be at the wedding. She is my Scotland bride from last year. High school buddies shot!
Erin and Sean chose some sweet and sentimental touches. Instead of wedding favors, they chose to give a donation to the American Lung Association in memory of Sean’s dad, Peter.
During the cocktail hour more guests arrived and enjoyed passed Hors d’oeuvres in the beautiful gardens.
All the yummy food was made by Mike Lynch from Catering by Miles.
After the cocktail hour, Sean’s bestman, Tom, gave a touching speech about how much the couple meant to him.
Everyone gathered to listen.
Erin’s MOH, Meighan, followed with a sweet speech where she let Sean know that he has the best seat in the house when he gets to go the Phillie’s games with Erin!
Next, everyone headed inside for a delish dinner!
Oh, and for dessert they had everything from cannolis to an ice cream sundae bar.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Erin and Sean decided to have cupcakes made by Sweet Spot. Yum!
After dinner and dessert the bride busted some moves on the dance floor with her gals.
She and Sean ended the night with a last dance.
Thanks for sharing this special day with me, Erin and Sean! I can’t wait to show you more!
