Denisha & Scott’s Engagement

I have a TON of blogging to do…October has turned out to not just be my busiest month of weddings but also engagements. So I will be blogging like a freak the past 6 that’s right SIX engagement sessions I have shot over the past couple of weeks! First off Denisha and Scott! They are tying the knot in less than a month so I had to get this one posted! I love getting to know my couples at their engagement session and I think I spent the whole time chatting away with these two! So on to the photos!
They are planning their reception at the Armory Ballroom , but by November the time change will have come and we will miss out on the sunlight coming through the beautiful windows on their day….so we stopped by to take advantage of the beautiful building in the daylight!
The beautiful window light also provided us with some lovely light for portraits! 
I have always wondered if there was a way to get up into the spiral in the ballroom…turns out it looks like this!
We stopped by the Cox Capitol Theater for a few shots.
The whole time I was photographing Denisha and Scott I had this song playing in my head. “Your Love is Is better than Ice cream, better than anything else in the world.” (by Sarah McLachlan) I love making an engagement session as personal as possible, and when Denisha and Scott were telling me about their first date and how they had just gone to ice cream with the singles group….and after most of the folks dwindled away the last two people left were Scott and Denisha having the first of many conversations that led them to their love for each other! We had to stop by the parking lot where that first epic conversation over ice cream happened and where Scott popped the question to Denisha years later! Of course she said YES!!!
I mean seriously check out that bling!
Next we headed over to a cute park for some sunshiny shots!
One of my favs of the lovely couple!
Denisha’s favorite color and the theme of her wedding is purple so we had to incorporate some of that into the shoot!
