It’s that time again!! Wedding season!!! And I couldn’t think of a better way to start the season than with Allison and Griffin’s beautiful spring wedding. These two are such a sweet couple, and I was honored to be a part of their day.
We started the day at Mary Frances’ House where the girls all got gorgeous. Mary Frances was the perfect host, equipped with all kinds of snacks and mimosas!
Allie’s friend, Marley Katsekis with Envision Salon came all the way from Alabama to do her & her girls hair!
Allison chose some classically beautiful details. Her lace and feather headpiece was a perfect touch for her reception updo. The lace was actually from her mother’s own veil. Her three stand pearl bracelet was also her mama’s!
I got to bust out my Lens Baby with macro +10 attachment for a few detail shots!
I am in love with the ring shot!
Her beautiful lace dress was by Jim Hjelm.
Allison and Griffin wanted to see each other before their ceremony, and Allison chose the perfect place to see her groom for the first time: Hills and Dales. This beautiful home reminds me of a villa in the Italian countryside. I seriously felt like I was in Europe. Allison didn’t let a little spring shower take away any joy from her special day. She just got an adorable umbrella!
sweet embrace.
Love this shot my second shooter/ Hubby/ Koutsunis got!
We managed to find a couple of dry spots to shoot some bridals and romantics!
I just love this spot! I esp love the ones I have already posted in the first look, here!
Allison and Griffin are such a beautiful couple!
Again another awesome shot, Koutsunis!
I was loving the covered pool house and teal wrought-iron furniture!
This was one happy groom! So sweet!
It finally stopped raining for a little while, so we ventured out into the puddles!
Such a stunning bride!
Next we headed to the church so this happy couple could tie the knot! Allison got a little love from her bridesmaids when they all got to see her for the first time in her dress!
Just a few more bridals at the church!
I just love this sweet spring bouquet!
All the lovely ladies in light blue!
The rain had finally stopped, but the wind was working against us.
The adorable wreaths and all the rest of the gorgeous florals were done by Vicki Rockwell of White Orchid. One of the recurring themes of the wedding were the monograms. A is for Allison, G is for Griffin and H for Hamsley!
The groomsmen practicing their serious look.
Griff being speedy!
The whole wedding party in front of First Baptist Church of LaGrange. Check out the adorable “H” wreath on the railing. And one more kiss before the “I do’s”
Before the ceremony Allie had a little daddy/daughter time in a rocking chair in the brides room….so sweet.
Allie is such a gorgeous bride, I had a little fun with my Sunpac video lights. I love this handy tool, esp for a rainy day wedding!
Ok so, Griffin’s groomsmen are such pranksters….they each had a warm hands packet that they handed Griff when they went to shake his hand when he was standing up front. He kept having to put them in his pocket and by the end of the service I would guess that his pocket was on fire, but he was a good sport!
Allison’s daddy walked her down the aisle.Unity CandleThis was an emotional ceremony, and everyone shed a few tears.Kissing the bride…I love that he hugged her right after! Allison and Griffin, sharing a sweet kiss after the ceremony. Then, on to the reception for some yummy food and drink and lots of fun! The reception was held at Del’avant. All of the fabulous food was by Shirley Barnes from Kimble’s Events by Design. Although Griffin’s mom made the beautiful fruit presentation! First DanceThe beautiful cakes were made by the talented Kelly Hamsley of Katerings by Kelly, who also happens to be Griffin’s mom!
The couple’s wedding favor were also Kelly’s amazing cheese straws in adorable monogrammed boxes.
Since Griffin loves golf, Kelly created her son this adorable golf themed cake. If you look on the back of the golf cart, you’ll see Allison and Griffin’s initials. So sweet!
I love this shot I caught of grandmother giving the couple some pearls of wisdom!
The guys enjoyed some celebratory cigars, up on the rooftop!Momentum kept the crowd dancing until late in the night. . . Everyone had a blast.
Allie and Griff’s dance off! Now who said Griffin was shy? Please!
At the end of the night they didn’t mind the rain anymore!
Congrats Griffin and Allison and thanks for such a fun evening! I am so honored to have been part of your day! I can’t wait to show you more!
