Baby Birds: Girlfriends One Year shoot!

I know I just got around to posting the girls 6ish month shots, and I thought since I am staying on top of my editing that I would go ahead and post their 1 year shoot! Since the twins were born so early we have done all their sessions 1 month later than the typical newborn, 6mo and 1 yr. So it’s been 1 month, 7 month, and 13 month… But I think it’s been perfect for preemies, and I would totally suggest doing a shoot this way with twins to any of you photogs out there. So here are sweet Miss Piper and Miss Scout at 13 months!

I can really tell them apart now.. Piper on the left and Scout on the right. It’s funny….I see so much of Laurel in both of them… Matt where are you?

We had to shoot on mama and daddy’s bed where we did all of the first two shoots.

Look how far they have come…from their newborn session!

I had to post this shot of my dog Kenzie who was there for a test shot. Since the weather was amazing and the girls are strong and healthy now we ventured outside for a few portraits!

Then she totally got into it!

It was a lot of wrangling, but we managed to get a few of them in the chair together… thanks to mama, Laurel and my sister Char for all the help!

Enough with the formality of it all….we are celebrating a birthday here and what’s a birthday without a smash cake?
Scout tried out the candle first.
Then enjoyed the cupcake… but was not loving sitting in the grass… that leg in the air cracks me up.

Piper just went for it.
Oh all this cuteness times two is just too much!

Success on eating all their cupcakes and Kenzie finished up anything that was left behind!
I feel so blessed to have been able to document these sweet girls’ first year of life. God has brought you and your family though a lot of ups and downs over the past year and we are so thankful for your little lives.
