Lucy: Baby Bird

Most of you know me as Jenny’s assistant, but I also feel blessed to be one of her clients and friends. She has captured so many special moments for our family. Our little boy, Mack, loves “Jing,” his nickname for Jenny, and I was thrilled when she met and photographed our newest addition, sweet little Lucy. Just a few days after we brought her home from the hospital, Jenny stopped by to do a newborn shoot. So Lucy dressed up in her favorite dress, a gift from Jing, and smiled for the camera.
I love this shot of Lucy in the cradle that I slept in when I was a baby.
Here’s the gorgeous birth announcement that Jenny designed for us. Lucy was born in the middle of The Cherry Blossom Festival, so we had to celebrate that on her birth announcement!

This was the very first time Mack got to hold his little sister. He was so excited and proud! Lucy doesn’t look quite as excited, but I am thrilled that Jenny was able to capture this special moment.

Jenny’s mom, Peaches Barnes, made this fabulous bonnet for Lucy. We just could not get enough pictures of her wearing it! Doesn’t she look gorgeous??

This is the best picture! How sweet is this tiny tuft of hair? My children don’t grow much hair until they’re almost 2, so we had to capture the little bit that she has! Haha!
