I got to know Ashley and Tim through a mutual friend, and I was so excited to photograph their big day! And they did not disappoint. The day was beautiful. Ashley and Tim were so much fun. I have had such blast hanging with Tim and Ashley and was sad when they moved to Nashville, but I know they are loving it sooo they will just have to visit us when they are back in town. It was such a pleasure to photograph this sweet couple and all of their friends and family…Ok so onto the photos! Ashley got ready at her parents’ house. Since they’re my neighbors, I dropped by to take a few shots at their house. Her parent’s neighbor is none other than The Artist, Mark Ballard. He was generous to let us into his backyard for a few pic of Ashley’s dress as well as a few bridals! Ashley’s beautiful vintage style dress.A few of Ashley’s details. So gorgeous! And how cool is this phone, can you see the rings? You see her something blue, but her something borrowed were her velvet shoes! The something old were her grandmother’s bangle bracelets.. I love them!
I love Ashley’s art deco style ring!
Her sweet mom helped her with the bird cage veil!
Ashley has beautiful brown eyes!
I love all the slight differences of these next few pics…it is so Ashley!
I just couldn’t get enough shots of her pretty face under that veil!
Tim, the handsome groom.Love those suspenders, Tim.The First Look. Isn’t it sweet how excited Tim looks while he’s waiting for his bride! He was so funny he kept saying I don’t know what to do! The couple had a sweet time of prayer after their first look. Look at those boots!
They make such a cute couple!
HOT!
Ashley and Tim’s ceremony was at Newton Chapel on Mercer’s campus. What a fun wedding party! The ladies were lovely and these guys were super fun! Love those suspenders, guys! This bouquet was perfection! Doodle Bugs Florist of Byron did a fabulous job!
We went over the the square for a few shots of the group! First the ladies.
The guys.
Ashley got a little smooch from her man.
What a dapper group!
A quick toast before the ceremony. A few more of the adorable couple in the dreamy light under a cedar of Lebanon tree! So beautiful!
Love this one!One last kiss before they say “I do!”Waiting for his bride….
going to meet her groom.
A sweet glance from daddy!
Ashley’s dad gave her away. The vowsWhat a gorgeous sanctuary to getting married in!RingsAshley and Tim also took communion. This is such a great reminder that a wedding is a sacred ceremony, consecrated by the Lord.Kiss the bride!I love this series! The wedding party showered the newlyweds with autumn leaves. Everyone was really into it – especially the groomsman on the far left. I loved his enthusiasm!
Make me want to yell…Yiipppeeee!
Ashley and Tim held their reception at The Federated Garden Clubs in downtown Macon. Their wedding favor was a spoon of kisses for the Mr and Mrs.The weather was absolutely perfect for this outdoor reception. The guests could eat and enjoy the band outside or hang out inside and enjoy the music of ( I am not kidding) Tokyo Spa, the band.First DanceThen Ashley’s dad took her for a spin on the dance floor.Tim and his mom shared a sweet dance, too.Nothing like an autumn pig roast! The delicious barbecue was prepared by Satterfields. Ashley and Tim had a whole roasted pig, cornbread and boiled peanuts – the perfect Southern treat! I loved the drippy candles in the wine bottles. The gorgeous cake, topped with love birds, was made by Rita Beachy of Joshua Cup.The groom’s cake was a delicious stack of Krispy Kreme doughnuts – Yum! Nothing goes better with donuts than an awesome selection of coffee from the Joshua Cup, where Ashley used to work.
Upstairs in the Federated Gardens we found this photo of brides that had their portrait made in front of the fire place.
Ashley’s dress was timeless, but it had a vintage flare. She would fit right in with the ladies in the photograph. All she needed was some puffed sleeves! I just love these two! Tim and Ashley’s guests danced the night away to the sounds of Tokyo Spa, the Band. The groomsmen celebrated with a cigar.
The off through the sparklers!
Quite possibly one of my favorite parts of the day was when all of their guest sang to them (Hey Hey, Good Bye) as they left the reception!
Tim and Ashley, thanks for sharing your special day with me. I had such a great time at your wedding! Can’t wait to share them all with you!
