Betsy & Christopher: Engaged!

November 22, 2013 |

Betsy has been a friend of mine for a while, so of course I was thrilled when she asked me to be her wedding photographer. And I have really enjoyed getting to know Christopher! They have such a sweet relationship. When I asked Betsy to describe their relationship, this was her reply: “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite. Our love is unconditional and eternal. He’s the one I’ve always prayed for and dreamed of. Our relationship is a gift from God that I will nourish forever.”

Christopher and Betsy’s first date was in the English Garden at the Sidney Lanier Cottage. They packed a picnic with food from Natalia’s (and a little something from McDonald’s). Betsy loves gardens; Christopher loves the poetry of Sidney Lanier. It just felt like the perfect spot for them. So this was also the perfect spot for their engagement shoot!

Such a good looking couple!

In love with this gorgeous Spanish moss! Christopher proposed to Betsy on Cumberland Island. Then they celebrated by shucking oysters and sipping champagne. This lovely Spanish moss reminds me of the coast.

Next we headed down to the river to get a few more shots of this cute couple.

This light!

When I asked Betsy what part of the wedding she was most excited about, it wasn’t the cake or the dress or the party; it was being married to Christopher. So sweet! Can’t wait for the big day!! To see all of Betsy and Christopher’s pictures, click HERE.
