Oh the cuteness! Emilee and John’s beautiful DIY wedding was filled with fabulous handmade details! Emilee has such a creative eye, and I loved all the personal touches she added to make the day extra special & extra personal. This is truly an Etsy wedding! They chose the perfect venue, Henderson Village. Henderson Village is an amazing collection of cottages and gardens that the couple and all their guests were able to stay in the entire wedding weekend together. So check out the preview. . .
The dress – a beautiful tea length gown with a short train. This was the perfect dress for her garden vintage vibe!
All the pretty bridal details.
Alecia with Bridal Artistry by Strandz did a beautiful job with Emilee’s hair and makeup.
Her compact was gift from her mother. I love all her pearl details and her garter was Etsy purchase.
Emliee’s sweet MOH, Jessica helped her get dressed.
John and Emilee took a moment to see each other before the ceremony in one of the beautiful gardens at Henderson Village.Sweet embraceThey both shed a few tears when they saw each other! Love this series! So sweet!John, the handsome groomEmilee is such a striking beauty! Emilee is seriously the queen of Etsy! Check out the flowers she found in the Etsy store RBK Creations….they are hand made from ribbon. The best part is that they did not drip on her dress or wilt! I love the different buttons at the center of each flower…so cute!
I loved shooting at this spot!
The wedding party – Emilee and her MOH, Jessica, and John and the best man, Josh.Jessica and her sweet baby, Kaden. So adorable!!
One of Em’s nieces loved the flowers!
A few more of the stunning bride!
This room in the Hodge House where the bride got ready had the perfect vintage vibe to capture a few bridals before the ceremony. . . LOVE!
I had to post one shot of my two grooms… Do you remember Mike and Amy’s wedding? John was one of his groomsmen!
John and Emilee’s outdoor ceremony took place in the rose garden at Henderson Village. The couple said their vows under an antique wrought iron gazebo. Because the area used to be a bird sanctuary, the couple used some bird details like the love birds on their wedding programs from Taylor’s Paperie. Emilee and her MOH arrived in a horse drawn carriage. Emilee’s brother walked her down the aisle and gave her away. The couple’s friend, Crystal, officiated their ceremony
After the traditional vows and exchange of rings, the couple had a traditional Handfasting ceremony where their hands were bound to symbolize the bond of marriage. Mr. and Mrs. John Manning. . . and their family and friendsWhat bride doesn’t want to ride away with her groom in a horse drawn carriage? The bling!
And who could forget about Emilee and John’s babies. . . the four legged kind! Ellie and Sasha!
I just love this shot of Ellie!
After the ceremony, it was time for a change! Emilee got comfy and cute for her reception in a pair of green Chuck Taylors. So cute!!
A couple more romantics before the reception.
Emilee and John and their guests headed to the Langston House Restaurant at Henderson Village for a seated dinner and dancing!I told you that Emilee was a real DIY bride!! She made the tablecloths and the table runners herself!! And she and her wedding planner, Jessica Stadtmiller, did all the floral arrangements! How adorable are these mason jars filled with flowers?! And check out the lids – Emilee painted them with chalkboard paint and then numbered the jars so that guests could find their seats. So cute!!Don’t you LOVE these little birds? Emilee wrote the guests table numbers on them, so everyone could find their seats. And Emilee didn’t forget about her littlest guests either! She made gift bags for all the children at the wedding!
Now for dessert!
The rustic cake was created by the couple’s friend, Jessica Burch. She did a great job with the bamboo detail! The tree stump cake stand was also from…. you guessed it, Etsy!
For an extra sweet treat her guests were treated to a colorful candy bar! The adorable candy bags were from weddingstar.com.
Another cool touch was the couple’s guest book. Emilee found this adorable thumb print guest book at Bleu de Toi on Etsy, of course! Each guest leaves their thumb print on the tree and signs their name. And the couple will have an adorable piece of art to hang in their home when it is all finished!A few sweet kisses at twilightThe couple signs their marriage license to make it official. . . . I love that Crystal was so emotional about marrying off her dear friends. And the party can begin! DJ Wesley Longsdorf of Beathouse Productions didn’t have any problem getting this party started! These guys could really dance! At the end of the night, the couple ran through their guests arms and off to their honeymoon. Thanks for sharing this special day with me, Emilee and John. Can’t wait to show you more!!
