Margeaux & Doug’s wedding was so amazing! Margeaux has been planning and blogging about the process for the past year on her wedding blog (here) and finally the day is here! And it was a perfect day. The weather was wonderful and everyone looked beautiful. We really had a blast photographing this couple. It was a day to celebrate two wonderful people as they start their new life together. The theme of the wedding was “All because two people fell in love” That statement really wraps up the feel of the whole day. It was truly a wonderful experience. Onto the wedding preview.
With the help of Dawn Brose of A Hair Sensation, Margeaux’s hair was just perfect.
One of Margeaux’s bridesmaids, Colby, is also a blogger and posted an incredible post about her gal Margeaux’s wedding. You can read it here.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Vineville Baptist Church in Macon, GA.
The Dress! Ahhhhh! (opera singer)
The fabulous Carmen Johnston of Nectar & Company along with Allison Lucas did an incredible job with Margeaux’s flowers. They are truly artists and continue to amaze me at every wedding they do. I love all the unique orchids and other flowers that were in the mix. It was really fun to photograph.
Just a couple of the floral details. The blue rose brooch that Margeaux had on her flowers is the symbol for police wives.
Getting into the gown with the help of her mama and her incredible coordinator Jayne Sawyer Smith (478)737-8921.
From her Stewart Wietzman RED Shoes to her handmade police inspired garters that she found on Etsy, the personal touches resonated throughout the day.
Right before we started taking the formal pics Margeaux got a note from her soon to be husband telling her where they were going for their honeymoon. Vegas Baby, Vegas! Woo hoo!
The gorgeous bride.
We took advantage of some of the amazing stained glass.
The girls channeling their inner Charlies’ Angels.
A couple more of my favs of Margeaux.
Like any good policeman, Doug was packing heat.
and looking handsome.
WARNING THIS IS A JOKE!!!!! This group of guys has been in some weddings with some BAD wedding photographers….they showed me some of the CHEEZIEST pics they have taken.
We did get to photograph the guys with a police unit.
Right before the ceremony Margeaux and her dad shared a few sweet moments.
Waiting to see his lovely bride.
She lost the veil on the way down the aisle, but she moved on with grace and poise.
What a beautiful ceremony.
Doug’s grandfather Dr. Paul Camp officiated the ceremony.
Group Hug!
What a handsome couple.
The reception took place at the Library Ballroom in downtown Macon, GA. Bobby Jo Carver (478-935-2793 & [email protected]) did a fabulous job with the yummy foods and the amazing bride’s and groom’s cakes. I thought the his and hers coozies were a nice little touch too.
First Dance.
All the guests feasting.
Again, Carmen and Allison blew us all away with the decor at the ballroom.
The beautiful brides cake.
They were even able to put their theme on the wall!
Doug’s grandmother was an awesome photographer. I know she had to get some amazing dance shots.
Keith Williams and his crew kept the tunes a-flowin’.
Nice toss!
More dancing.
The guys stepped outside for a cigar break.
I love this shot K got. My angle was posted on their first look.
More romantics outside at twilight.
We took advantage of the Grand Opera House’s new marquee.
Love this one.
Guns and Roses. What else can I say?
Thanks so much Margeaux and Doug for having me as your wedding photographer and giving me the opportunity to capture the sweet memories of your day. I really had a blast hanging out with your friends and families and getting to share in your joy and love. I know you will have many, many years of love and happiness.
