Engaged: Abby & Michael

Meet Abby and Michael! I have known Abby since she was a baby and it is such an honor that I am getting to photograph her wedding this fall! I just got to meet Michel for the first time at their engagement session and they are perfect together!

In Abby’s words their engagement story:

“Most thoughtful proposal EVER!! Earlier in the week, Michael insisted that we do something special for dinner that weekend. He also insisted that we not make any plans, because my obsession with having a plan for the day drives him crazy! It started out spending an ordinary Saturday together, running errands and killing time before dinner. He even insisted I get my nails done.. I should have been suspicious, but he’s taken me before so I thought nothing of it. Michael dropped me off at my house before dinner so he could go pick up supplies. He showed back up at my house wearing the same outfit he wore on our first date. He then cooked the first meal he ever cooked for me. Dinner was fabulous! After dinner, we danced in the living room to some of our favorite songs. Then, as I was preparing to head out for dessert he brings a box into the kitchen. Inside the box were cookies from my favorite place labeled “will you marry me?” I turned around and he was on one knee. I have no idea what he said because I was sobbing my eyes out. He put such thought into that night and surprised me (which I thought was going to be impossible)!!!!”

We shot their engagement session at the beautiful family farm that Abby grew up on! It was the perfect spot to make more memories!

This is how the couple defines their relationship: “Someone who is not only my best friend, but my partner in life. Our relationship is such a blessing that it cannot have come from anyone or anything but The Lord. It’s made of days with happy times and hard trials, but every moment striving to pursue God.”
