I am so honored that I got to be a part of Laura and Tim’s day. It was a lovely wedding uniting two lovely people. They are truly a perfect pair, she is such a girly girl and he is a man’s man. I had a lot of fun getting to know these two at their engagement session. You know how they say that something always happens on a wedding day that you do not plan for….well on Laura and Tim’s day it was the rings. They were accidentally left in the bride’s room and minutes before the ceremony Laura realized it and sent someone to the room…she came back with the news that the room was locked so earlier that day when I was photographing the rings I realized that Laura and I have the same ring size so I lent her my wedding band and Tim borrowed his brothers band for the ceremony! I thought it was so awesome how it all worked out! So I will start this post with the symbols of their marriage vows… the rings!
Laura and her girls got primped and pampered at Utopia Salon and Spa.
Then they headed downtown to Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.
Laura’s gorgeous dress
Laura had some cute details. She wore two garters. . . one “something blue” and one UGA garter. I loved Laura’s bouquet by the always fabulous Allison Lucas and Carmen Johnston of Nectar and Co.
What a beautiful bride!
It was about 115 degrees outside on Laura’s day and she HATES to be hot… In fact she might hate it more than anyone I have ever met…so we found some lovely window light for most of her bridals!
Laura and her girls – love those pockets!
Thank you Lovely window!
Tim and the guys.
What a handsome groom!
This little nook was hidden away on the staircase to the balcony where Laura was hiding before the ceremony.
Laura’s dad and step dad walked her down the aisle. It was a very sweet moment.
I found this cool window to shoot through. . . love this one!
Mr. and Mrs. Tim Finney
Kissing the bride!
I love romantics!
What a cute wedding party! A random shower came by but we had to get a shot in front of the church!
Then everyone headed out on the Sweet Melissa Trolley to the Blacksmith Shop for the reception.
The reception was beautiful! Allison Lucas and Carmen Johnston created some fabulous florals and even floated petals in the fountain. Lisa Shepley of Lisa Mae Cakes made cakes that were as gorgeous as they were delicious. Instead of wedding favors, Tim and Laura gave a donation to the humane society and encouraged their guests to give too. If you want to donate, check out their website.
The groom’s cake was like a million layers of chocolate and decorated with Tim’s favorite thing – baseballs! The bride’s cake was an elegant white cake with a surprise inside. . . red velvet!!
First Dance
We got to sneak outside and take a few romantics after dark in downtown Macon.
Awesome dip!
Tim’s daddy made a surprise performance with the amazing band! He was not bad at all! He even got an encore.
Party Nation was simply put…..AMAZING! If you are getting married and looking for a band check these guys out! They were not only awesome musicians but they were so entertaining! They kept the crowd dancing all night long. . . everyone had a great time!
You know it’s good when there is air guitar involved!
These guys could really dance!
Laura and Tim ran through sparklers to their waiting limo and headed off on a fabulous honeymoon!
Y’all are just too funny!
Laura and Tim, I hope you had an awesome honeymoon. I had so much fun at your wedding you really had one of the most fun receptions I have ever been too! I can’t wait to show you more!!
