Lauren and Steven’s wedding was such an honor to be a part of. It was also a fun challenge for me to shoot two weddings in a row at the same venue, First Presbyterian Church in Macon, GA. This couple was so sweet and really let their sweet spirits shine though. After meeting on a mission trip in Acapulco, Mexico, these two were definitely meant to be. God has brought them together, and their wedding day was a true celebration of God’s goodness to them. So onto their wedding preview that I know they are dying to see since I have been under the weather. I am a little late posting it… So Sorry guys! I know you will agree with me that it was worth the wait!
The Church where it all goes down! hehehe. It was a beautiful sunny day and not too hot!
I love the architecture. Shows off the dress.
More dress and bridal details. I wonder who’s name rubbed off the bottom of her shoe first…they are next in line to get married!
Ring, ring. ( I can’t help myself)
Lauren had a little help from her mom with her hair.
Did I mention that her hair is exactly like my hubby Koutsunis’s hair….I had to take a pic!
Getting in the dress!
Lauren’s MOH was her sister Caroline who helped with the shoes!
Looking just simply beautiful. Here are a couple of my favorite bridals.
Love this one.
Stevie getting a little help making sure his tie was tied right.
Very handsome.
The first look.
Checking out Lauren’s bridal attire. I think he approved. Oh girl, you look pretty!
I love these two.
Sweet couple.
I love the way he is holding her hand.
The wind picked up and we got an action shot!
Lauren’s talented mom (Ellen Royal) did all of the florals…with the exception of the big arrangements in the church…she had a little help from Allison Lucas. They both did a fabulous job!
Here is the wedding party channeling their inner model…work that blue steel.
We had to have one with the bike!
More bike details… Stevie bought this bike for Lauren for her birthday and wrote a song for her too. More to come on that is a few. I also posted another pic of them on the bike in the first look blog post here.
A couple of more sweet romantics.
Ceremony time.
Lauren and her daddy both got a little choked up waiting to walk down the aisle.
Steven’s sister, Debbie, sang Sandra McCracken’s version of “Jesus, The Lord, My Savior Is” It was beautiful and tear jerking.
The groom got a little choked up too.
The giving away part.
Lauren sister (Caroline) and Steven’s three sisters (Diane, Catherine, and Debbie) all sang a quartet to the tune of another Sandra McCraken…but an old hymn “Rock of Ages”
This is one talented family!
It was very moving.
Mr. & Mrs. Steven Rupe DeGeorge!
Onto the reception! One of the details I loved was how they framed a bunch of their engagement photos and had them out for their guests to enjoy.
Oh yes… and all the yummy food was by Celebrations…by Alexa (478-994-0028 [email protected])
The first dance was to the song “Blue Moon.” It was a perfectly executed waltz!
You cannot pose that look….sweetness!
Mrs. Ellen not only did flowers but she also made the cakes! She does it all! She made the brides cake out of humming bird cake! She had a little help from Katie Gamble who did the icing! Nice job!
Love this shot Koutsunis took. He loves that fisheye!
The groom’s chocolate cake. Can you guess what position Steven plays? I’ll give you a hint look at the guy on the left!
They had some awesome dancing! Billy Holbrook ( holbrook_billy @hotmail.com 706-326-6125) kept the dance floor rockin’! Steven and one of his groomsmen even had a dance off….
….I think Steven won!
Two hops now y’all!
Bouquet toss…Koutsunis style.
So the wedding favor was a cd that the bride and groom recorded themselves. The first song on the cd was the song that Steven wrote for Lauren. It is so sweet. I will have to post it on here! But for how here are some of lyrics “What do you say about me and you riding along on a bicycle built for two? I don’t want to ride with no one new.”
Oh and …They even had an acoustic cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” Track 7 for those of you who picked up the cd!
The couple ran though sparklers.
And sped off on their two-seater! It was perfect! I love the bike horn and ring ring! Wooo hooooo!
Thank you so much Lauren and Steven for letting me share in your day. It was a joy to witness such a sweet celebration of God’s goodness to you. I totally agree with what you wrote in your wedding program “that God is giving us to each other as a testament to His grace and mercy in our lives.” Cling to this truth throughout your whole marriage and love and serve each other. Thank you to your friends and family for being so fun and creative to photograph and I look forward to sharing your entire wedding with you soon!
