Romance by: Michele & Matt

June 17, 2011 |

I had a great time photographing Matt and Michele’s wedding day.  These two lawyers returned to Macon, GA for the wedding.  It was a reunion and a destination wedding for their guests.  They both attended Mercer Law and live up in Atlanta now, but when they lived in Macon they were both really involved with downtown Macon and its revitalization.  It was important for them to share their love for Macon with their friends and family.

Michele had lots of sweet sentimental details…let’s start with her bling:  Her bracelet was her something borrowed from her mama.  The first gift that Matt ever gave her was a leaf shaped necklace that was tied into her bouquet along with 2 rings (one from each grandmother).  Then of course her beautiful rings.  Romance was the gift from her groom….I love this idea both Matt and Michele went together and picked out perfume and cologne as a wedding gift for each other.  They ended up both picking out Ralf Lauren fragrances and Romance was the perfect fragrance for the bride.

Matt really did his research on the 4 C’s and he got it right with this one!

logologo126Loved the way Michele’s Signature style turned out!  Nichole Mitchell of Signature Salon did a beautiful job, as always!  And this gorgeous comb made the look complete!logologo226logologo320Michele and Matt tied the knot at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.  Loved these beautiful arches!  This was the perfect place to display Michele’s gown.  logologo417The beautiful bride!  logologo516logologo615logologo715Michele looks so pretty under her veil!  And of course her beautiful baby blues are shining through!logologo98logologo106logologo1112logologo127

So classically bridal.

logologo136The lace details on Michele’s dress are so elegant.logologo146logologo156Allison Lucas did a beautiful job with Michele’s bouquet. Notice the tiny glass bird, Michele’s mother carried in her bouquet when she got married.  She also carried a handkerchief that her mom gave her.  It originally belonged to her grandmother.  logologo166

A few more florals.

Matt and Michele did not see each other before the ceremony… but they did hold hands behind a door.

Michele shed a few tears with her dad before walking down the aisle.

Her mama got a little emotional seeing her little girl coming down the aisle.

So cute!  They also gave their guests flip flops for reception dancing and little terracotta pots with seeds for the guests to plant. logologo661The couple’s adorable cake was made by Amanda’s Cakerylogologo671

How can I say how much I love this!!!!  I have always wanted a groom to do this… AMAZING… If you are confused about why the groom’s cake is an armadillo then go out a rent Steel Magnolias right now!

The couple’s band, Nu Soul, was so much fun!  Matt was dipping and twirling Michele all over the dance floor all night long!  The best part was their perfectly choreographed first dance.logologo721logologo731Natalia’s catered all the delicious food!  Mmmmm!!!  The signature cocktail was the Macon Whoopie Sangria…how classic!  logologo741Matt and Michele’s photo booth had such a fun twist.  They were surrounded by photos of their family, like a giant photo album!  logologo751

I was really impressed with Matt….he and his daddy made the photo booth themselves!
