Nothing says summertime in the South better than fresh Georgia peaches. And Brian and Catherine wanted to commemorate a special part of Catherine’s family history by doing their engagement photos at Dickey Farms. After all, her parents met at a peach cannery. Her mother’s grandparents had a farm and peach packing house. Her father’s grandparents had a peach cannery. When Catherine’s mom went to work at Catherine’s dad’s family cannery, they met and fell in love. And the rest is history! So when Catherine and Brian were deciding where to do their engagement session, they knew it had to include peaches! Such a cute couple!
There is nothing better than Dickey’s homemade peach ice cream!
Fabulous ring!! Nice job, Brian!
We wanted to recreate a couple of the old photos that Catherine brought along of her family and their business.
Frank Stanley Herring, a portrait artist, did a painting of Catherine’s grandparents’ packing house back in the 1940s. It’s amazing how so little has changed since that time!
And we just had to recreate the photo of Catherine’s grandparents, Bo and Ruth, packing peaches together.
After the fun at the packing house, we headed out to the orchard to get some shots among the peach trees.
Thanks for sharing such a fun engagement session with me. Can’t wait for the wedding!! To see all of Catherine and Brian’s pics, click HERE.
