Samantha & Austin

July 5, 2012 |

Samantha and Austin had such a beautiful beach wedding!  Have I mentioned how much I love to shoot destination weddings?  It was so much fun to go down to The Beachview Club Hotel on Jekyll Island for the weekend and celebrate Sam and Austin’s big day!  Sam loves crafty DIY projects, and she made some cute stuff for the wedding.  She made these adorable sand dollar charms with their wedding date on them, and these cute hand painted champagne flutes for all the girls.  She also made Austin an adorable wedding gift, “52 Reasons Why I Love You” one reason on each playing card.  So sweet!!  One of Sam’s bridesmaids, Melody, even got in on the DIY fun, making these bride and groom outfits for the champagne bottles.  She actually brought them to the celebration dinner after Austin proposed to Sam.  Sam’s elegant Casablanca gown
Nikki and Michelle at Salon 412 did a beautiful job with Sam’s hair and makeup.
The rings.
Sam had some really sweet details, like her wedding date hanger for her gown and the monogram in her dress.  Her something old was the sixpence she had in her shoe for luck.  It was a gift from her sister.  Her dress was new; she borrowed this gorgeous moonstone ring from her mom, and her monogram was blue.   But the most special detail was the picture she carried of her daddy in her bouquet.  He passed away years ago, but Sam carried sweet memories of him with her on her wedding day.
Sam’s mom,MOH &  sister helped her into her dress.
Isn’t she a beautiful bride?

When it was time for Sam to see her man for the first time, she was so excited.
I love how she dinked him on the shoulder.  So cute!

I love this shot!

I love this live oak tree.  It was the perfect place for some romantics!

Austin getting all romantic!

Gorgeous!

I love that Sam carried this picture of her daddy in her bouquet.
She looks so beautiful under the veil!

All the beautiful flowers were by Stacy Bass of Straton Hall.

Sam and the ladies. . . love those bridesmaid dresses!
Austin was such a dashing groom.

Austin gave his groomsmen silver monogrammed cufflinks.  Such a classic gift!
The program attendants.
The whole wedding party

The Beachview Club Hotel on Jekyll Island was the perfect setting for this beautiful beach wedding.  And how gorgeous is this blue sky??
Their ceremony was held beneath the live oaks overlooking the ocean, and the bride walked down the aisle to a string trio.  So classic!

I love the way that Sam and Austin looked at each other as they said their vows.

I love how Austin reached for his bride’s hands.

What a sweet first kiss!  The wind blew her veil just as she kissed her new hubby!

One of the best jumps ever!
Gorgeous!

After some fun on the beach, we headed to the reception.  The reception tent was set up overlooking the ocean.  The guests were greeted with an adorable thumb print guest book.
Sam and Austin gave their guests these adorable coozies decorated with the sand dollar charms that Sam made.  It was the perfect gift for the ice cold beers floating in this adorable canoe cooler.
First dance

Sam and Austin had some moves!

Love this sweet shot of Austin’s parents.

After a sweet welcome and toast by Sam’s mom, it was time to eat!

Along with the yummy food, Straton Hall made a delicious cake!  And so elegant!  But Sam and Austin really love pie, so instead of a groom’s cake, they had a smorgasbord of pies.  Yum!
Love these forks monogrammed with Austin and Sam’s wedding date.
Then the happy couple toasted each other with champagne goblets from Sam’s parents’ wedding.

Celebration Band was so awesome!  Everyone had such a good time dancing!

Sam, having some fun with her A D Pi sisters.

YMCA!!
After all the fun, Sam and Austin headed through the sparklers and on to their honeymoon.
Thanks Samantha and Austin for having me at your special day!  I had a blast shooting and celebrating with y’all.  I can’t wait to share all the images with you!
