Allison & Joel: Engaged!

March 18, 2014 |

What a perfectly matched couple if I ever met one!  Allison and Joel are just one of those couples that balance each other out so well! They are getting married this spring, and I am doing a little blog catch up while I wait for baby Knox to get here!  I am so happy to share their sweet engagement session with you!

In Allison’s own words: ” I think of our relationship as a miracle. Joel is a gift from God that I had hoped for all my life. I honestly never thought I would meet someone as kind, supportive, loving, and truly perfect for me as he is. We fell in love so hard and fast, our friends thought we had gone crazy! Two years later, I still feel like I love him more and more each day. We are the perfect balance for each other, and I can’t wait to start a life together as husband and wife.”

Joel is always putting a smile on her face!

Allison grew up in Macon and Joel graduated from Mercer.   These two will tie the knot at Mercer’s chapel, so it was the perfect spot for their engagement session! They wanted we wanted to pick places in Macon that were both meaningful and historic.

How he asked:  “For 3 weeks, Joel had been hiding my engagement ring in a crock pot on top of his fridge and waiting for the perfect moment to propose. He decided to go for it the week before I was leaving to spend a month 4 hours away in Columbus for a med school rotation. He took me to the Pinnacle Club, which is  a restaurant on the 16th and 17th floor of a building overlooking the Savannah River. He got down on one knee just as I thought we were going to take a photo together. I was surprised, and of course, I said yes!”

Allison said the thing she is most excited about is having all their family and friends together in one place to celebrate!

I can’t wait to see this girl in her dress and photograph her as a bride!  Oh and her dress will be such a fun surprise! Being the photographer has its inside info advantages!
When I asked her what the hardest part was: “The hardest part of wedding planning is that I am just so ready to be husband and wife already! I can’t wait any longer to be Mrs. Paine!”

Thanks for being so fun, you two. Can’t wait for the big day!  To see all Allison and Joel’s engagement photos click ***HERE***
