Christina & Sam’s Hallowed Day

January 12, 2011 |

The day before Halloween, Christina and Sam tied the knot at beautiful Pineola Farms.  I bet you can’t guess what I dressed up as….that’s right a wedding photographer!  hehehe  They definitely had a classic autumn wedding, and since Pineola has their own pumpkin patch. We had a blast incorporating all the fall elements into the day!   Sam is in the Air Force, most of their relationship has been long distance and that has got to be so hard…but this day was especially sweet because they finally get to be together all the time now!  Now for a few pics of the day!

Christina’s dress had such beautiful intricate details.  I loved that her veil had some of the same delicate bead work.  Her jewelry had a lot of family history!  She wore the jeweled hairpins that her mother wore on her wedding day.   She also wore her great grandmother’s necklace and her grandmother’s earrings.  So sweet!

logo03logo112Delise Knight, of Pineola Farms, created the beautiful fall florals. The wheat accents, and feathers were perfect for her amber and brown tones.  She even added tiny antique keys in the bride’s bouquet and groom’s boutonniere.  I love Christina’s expression when she saw the keys!  Adorable!  Delise also worked in the antique keys into the florals at the reception as well.  logo212The ladies helped Christina into her dress.  Look at all the beautiful details!logo311Her dress looked like it was straight out of the Old South, so I just couldn’t resist getting this shot.  Just like Miss Scarlet O’Hara!logo411

I do declare Christina was simply beautiful!

One of Christina’s best friends just made it to the wedding!  She wasn’t sure if she was gonna make it…so it was a really special moment when she arrived!

We made her an honorary bridesmaid!

logo214Waiting to go into the pumpkin patch and pick out their own pumpkin.  Aren’t these two the cutest!logo222Christina and Sam’s wedding was the day before Halloween, so we took a quick trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin.  logo232These two are Christina’s niece and nephew.  What a sweet brother and sister.logo241Sam, the handsome groomlogo251logo261logo271logo281The aisles were decorated with beautiful fall foliage and pumpkins.  Don’t you love the carved “S” pumpkin for Speth (the couple’s last name)logo301The ceremonylogo313logo321Christina’s dad walked her down the aisle just as the sun began to drop behind the trees.  What a perfect moment!logo341

I love how Sam’s brother and best man, Robert, got a glimpse of his bro seeing his bride for the first time!

Since a lot of the kiddies that were at the wedding were missing their trick or treat night….Christina had each one a goody-bag filled with Halloween candy.

The Cotton Barn looked amazing decked out in amber chandeliers and wheat accents!

They also incorporated pumpkins, grains and fall colored flowers through the reception to create an autumn theme.  More antique keys popped up in some of the arrangements.  Gorgeous!

Sam’s brother’s speech came with props…my fav was the cheese head hat!

Over to the Cake that rested on an old barrel….so rustic! logo713The yummy food was by Kelly Hamsley of Kelly’s Katering.  Kelly also baked both the bride’s and the groom’s cakes.  Sam and Christina are baseball fans, but it looks like their house will be divided if the Brewers ever play the Braves.  logo721Sam and Christina’s cake cutting turned into a little food fight.  You can tell these two have fun together!logo731

We snuck outside to get a few shots of the happy couple and their jack-o-lantern!  logo771logo781Everyone had such a good time dancing.  The dj, Tiger Smith, kept everyone on their feet all night long!logo791

Then off to their ride through the sparklers!

Thanks Sam and Christina for such a fun Halloween night! I can’t wait to share more with you!
