Allison & Stacy: Southern Love

December 2, 2013 |

It was so much fun to be a part of Allison and Stacy’s big day! I’ve known Allison for a while because she is one of the Signature girls. I’ve shot so many weddings for brides who got gorgeous at Signature Salon with the help of Allison. But this was HER day, and it was perfect! They chose to tie the knot at her parents’ land and her own home in an elegant and rustic outdoor ceremony and reception.

Stacy and Allison built their first home right next door to Allison’s parents’ house. Their dog, Honey, was waiting patiently on the porch for the festivities to begin.
Allison’s jewelry was all sentimental. Her something borrowed (and blue) was her grandma Helen’s 50th anniversary ring. She decided to wear a pair of boots that Stacy gave her as her something old. And for something new she wore the gorgeous canary diamond earrings that Stacy gave her.
Allison’s lovely Marisa gown and her boots.

Many of you know Allison is one of the Signature girls. So of course Nichole and the Signature girls helped her with hair and makeup for her wedding day. And she looked absolutely gorgeous!
Instead of a veil Allison decided to wear a fab hairpiece.

I loved this sweet moment Allison had with her mom and dad. Allison’s parents are an inspiration to her. They have been married for 32 years.

What a wonderful legacy of love for Allison and Stacy as they begin their new life together.  She is such a daddy’s girl!
Allison had some sweet notes embroidered on a hankie for her parents.
Beautiful bride!

Allie you seriously were angelic on your wedding day!

Great group of gals!
How cute are these sweet flower girls?
It can be exhausting being this cute!
All of the gorgeous flowers were by Allison’s Aunt Patsy. She did a beautiful job creating these bouquets that combined woodsy elements with bright pops of color.

This has to be the best wedding day gift I’ve ever seen! When Stacy and Allison decided to build a house together, Stacy sold his truck to help pay for it. So, Allison decided to buy him a new truck as a wedding gift!
Needless to say he was VERY VERY HAPPY!!!

Stacy LOVES  Vans.
The ring bearers were cuties too!
The guys toast the bride and groom.

Perfect spot to say I do!  Stacy and Allison’s Daddy built this ceremony spot just for their wedding.

Stacy’s cousin Miles played all the ceremony music on the guitar.

Instead of a unity candle, Allison and Stacy tied a fisherman’s knot. It is the strongest knot. Before it will come untied, the rope would break. What a perfect symbol of marriage as a bond that can never be untied.

Mr. & Mrs. Bryant

Aren’t they a gorgeous couple?
We had the most perfect light!

Stacy and Allison on the front porch of the home they built together.
Allison worked so hard on all her reception details!  I love seeing a client use their engagement photos for their wedding day!
Allison’s daddy owns a sawmill, and Stacy works there. So these two guys built EVERYTHING.

From the tables to benches to the pavilion!  You will notice the raw wood that shows up over and over in their day!

Tara from Tasty Treats created this rustic and delicious wedding cake.
Stacy’s family’s company, Smarr Cooking Crew, did all the catering. The barbecue was delicious!

Sweet first dance

Stacy and Allison did a memorial table for family members who passed away. They also asked their guests to sign a piece of a tree trunk that they had their monogram engraved on.

Stacy’s groom’s cake was a piece of wood with a circular saw…another nod to the mill!
Good Vibrations kept the happy couple and their family and friends dancing all night!

Stacy and Allison ended their night by releasing wish lanterns.
Stacy and Allison, thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful celebration! To see all of Stacy and Allison’s pictures, click HERE.
