Denisha and Scott’s love story began several years ago when the couple was hanging out with a group of friends. And at last, Denisha had her fairy tale wedding. Denisha and Scott’ s idea of marriage should be an inspiration to all of us. I couldn’t explain it better than Denisha. In a letter to their guests they said, “Here is what we’re celebrating today: Jesus is Lord of our lives. He will be the head of our home. He brought us together. He is the foundation and life of our relationship. Our love and devotion for each other is empowered by his perfect love.” I was truly honored to be a part of this sweet day, along with some of my favorite vendors! Denisha seriously had the dream team – a sweet Signature ‘do, fabulous florals by Carmen and Allison of Nectar and Co, delicious cakes by Lisa Mae Cakes, yummy food by Bobbi Jo Carver, and the whole event was perfectly coordinated by Mrs. Jayne Sawyer Smith (478.474.9993)! So check out her preview. . .
The first stop was the fabulous Signature Salon where Nichole created a gorgeous updo, as well as flawless makeup!
The next stop was Mabel White where I got to photograph Denisha’s gown that was fit for a princess. Angie Hardison, who did the alterations, laced up Denisha’s lovely gown. Denisha’s signature color is purple. Check out those fab purple shoes and that adorable purple clutch! This gal has a serious purse addition so I should have known she would have a cool purse! She even has a purple monogram on her handkerchief. Denisha looked beautiful in her gown. Since it was chilly in November, she even had a custom made jacket by the amazing designer Susanne LoPilato to match her dress. Denisha’s purple bouquet and all the other fabulous florals were created by Allison Lucas and Carmen Johnston of Nectar and Co.
Denisha’s eyes are crystal blue. Just gorgeous!
We were so blessed with some amazing sunlight !
Don’t you love this beautiful brooch that was pinned to Denisha’s bouquet?
Denisha and her bridesmaidsHow cute are the Jr. Bridesmaids, the bride’s sweet nieces! ahhh!!This veil makes Denisha look like royalty. So elegant!
Denisha’s mama and daddy were so sweet, her mom even made her ring bearer’s pillow.
Scott gave his groomsmen pocket watches with the wedding date and time engraved on the watch. And guess what they all showed up right on time! Scott’s mom also made a little sign for the couple! Congrats! The dashing groom
Bonds, Scott Bonds…SERIOUSLY …his last name is Bonds!
All the men-folk.
Scott, looking handsome in his tux and tailsScott and Denisha didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, but they did take a moment to hold hands and talk before they walked down the aisle. It was a very sweet moment. Scott even revealed his nickname for Denisha, “My Darling Heart.” These two are adorable! The bling! The ceremony was held at Mabel White, where the couple met and went to church when they used to live in Macon, GA. It was one of Denisha’s dreams to have strings at her wedding! They also had a good friend, Dan Darden, to play the guitar for their ceremony.
Denisha’s dad walked her down the aisle.I love to see the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time. Look at how excited Scott is to see Denisha!
The couple’s friend Trace Odom sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and the congregation sang “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.”
Denisha’s daddy gave such a sweet speech when he gave her away. It was a very sweet ceremony.

Amazing! The wedding partyAnd one more kiss before the receptionDenisha and Scott’s reception was held at The Armory Ballroom. The guests were greeted with photos of the bride and groom as children. I cannot say enough about how fabulous these flowers were. First Dance with music by Laura Starling. She’s the dj for WDEN (99.1) here in Macon.
The bride’s mom and daddy welcomed the guests and blessed the dinner
Bobbi Jo Carver made all the delicious food for their sit down dinner. This elegant cake looked as good as it tasted! Lisa Shepley of Lisa Mae Cakes did an awesome job! She even tied it with a bow in Denisha’s signature purple. The groom’s cake was designed to look like a movie theater showcasing the couples wedding logo. Scott and Denisha are major movie buffs so Scott’s cake was all about their own movie theater complete with a purple carpet and popcorn left in the aisles! You will also notice a purple purse and Scott’s signature umbrella left in the row as well…another awesome personal touch by Lisa! All the single ladies. . . The guests had one more sweet treat before they said goodbye: a smorgasbord of purple candy! Then off through the sparklers! One more kiss in the limo before they head off for the honeymoon.
. . . And they lived happily ever after!!
