Margaret and Ben’s gorgeous Savannah weddings was dripping in spanish moss and LOVE! This couple was so excited to get married and so fun to photograph! The wedding took place at the bride’s mother’s house and it was the perfect backdrop for the couple! They love the outdoors and the most special detail was the faithful pup, Duke! He was the perfect ring bearer and was wondering around and part of their entire day! You will see him not just in the ceremony preforming his ring bearer duties perfectly, but also in the group photos and wondering around the dance floor during the reception! Now onto the photos!
Margaret’s bridal details were so lovely. Her something old was her grandmother’s brooch; her dress was something new. Her something borrowed was her mother’s diamond necklace with one diamond from her engagement ring, one from Margaret’s great-grandmother and one from Margaret’s grandmother. She had a blue monogram inside her dress. Margaret’s beautiful gown was from Modern Trousseau Savannah. Margaret and her girls got ready in a cottage at her mom’s house. Check out this gorgeous Spanish moss!
I love that Margaret opted for this beautiful hair piece instead of a veil!
The GLOWING bride! The lovely flowers were byMargaret’s amazingly talented Aunt Lisa Dailey of Oakleaf Highlands. They traveled to Savannah for the wedding and did a superb job! Margaret also wore a ring that her grandmother gave to her. I love the family details! They picked the perfect spot for their first look, under this beautiful old oak tree filled with Spanish moss. And what a perfect first look! Margaret and Ben are such a sweet couple, and I loved capturing the emotion as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.
] What a beautiful couple!
The house is on the river and the dock was another amazing spot for a few photos! Since Ben is an avid hunter, his boutonniere was made with a shotgun shell. Of course Duke, the doggy ring bearer, had to get in on the fun! Check out the boutonniere on his collar! Too cute! Duke is so happy that his people are getting married! What a good boy!
More up-close details of the amazing florals by Aunt Lisa! The whole wedding party Ben’s dad, Stan made this beautiful cross for the ceremony.
Gorgeous!!
#MarriageGoals : Ben’s grandparents tried to steal the show y’all! I loved this sweetheart table with a birds eye view of the cocktail hour!
The tented reception with a view of the water was perfection! Lowcountry Kitchen did a great job with dinner! What a sweet first dance!
Molly Stone Cakes did a fab job with the brides cake!
Nice entertainment kept the dance floor hopping!
Duke loves to dance!
When you have a waterfront wedding, who needs a getaway car when you can have a getaway boat!
After the boat ride the bride’s mother, Donna surprised the couple with a special ride to the honeymoon hotel! It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!
Thanks so much to Margaret and Ben and their wonderful friends, family and vendors! Y’all were wonderful to work with! I could not have enjoyed photographing your day more!
