Samantha & Kevin: Savannah Lovin’

November 28, 2012 |

Samantha and Kevin’s Savannah wedding was a weekend full of fun. Savannah is a special place for Sam and Kevin because they met there through their jobs at Suntrust Bank, and they live there. As you know, I LOVE Savannah, so I was excited to head down there for this wedding. Besides, I already knew Sam because she was a bridesmaid in her sister Cindy’s wedding. If you remember Cindy and Matt’s beautiful spring wedding, you’ll probably recognize Sam’s face because not only was she Cindy’s MOH, she’s also her identical twin! So of course, I knew that this group was going to be so much fun. And they were! The girls started their day by getting ready at The Savannah Anna cottage.
The beautiful bling!

There is nothing more Southern than lace and Spanish moss. Gorgeous!

The dress is by Marisa, and it was the perfect elegant creation for this Southern bride. And those Pelle Mods shoes, so gorgeous!
The two most important ladies in her life helped her before she saw Kevin for the first time…her sisso Cindy and her mama!

First Look
Kevin and Sam’s first look was in a park in mid-town Savannah. It was an emotional moment for both of them, and Sam shed a few tears.
They used the first look as a time to give each other a wedding day gift.  Kevin got a beautiful new Tag Heuer watch!

Kevin surprised Sam with a beautiful pair of Mikimoto earrings as a wedding gift.

That’s a couple of HOT blondes!

Sam’s “something borrowed” was this beautiful veil. She borrowed it from her twin sis, Cindy.Smooch!
Even though she and Cindy look similar, they are so different to photograph. Sam was just stunning on her day!

I love a Savannah park bench!

Kevin was a dashing groom.
Nothing like a walk in the park before you say “I do.”

LOVE this!
Again….what a beautiful bride!

Sam’s fluffy white bouquet and all the other beautiful flowers are by Anissa Manzo of Urban Poppy.
They had such a fun wedding party!

Kevin’s son, Bennett, discovered some great climbing trees in the park.

I love this park on Atlantic Ave… It’s one of my favorites in Savannah…we did a few shots here at the engagement session too.
The ladies had to kick off their shoes for this jump!

A new family: since Kevin has two children, Bailey and Bennett, not only did Sam become a wife, she also became a step-mom.

They had Sam’s nieces and nephews for their flowers girls and ring bearers!

In some beautiful window light.

Sam’s gift to her bridesmaids were these black pearls and matching earrings….another amazing etsy find!  I love that Anissa used succulents in the bouquets. So beautiful!
Sam and Kevin said “I do” at The First Presbyterian Church in Ardsly Park.
Right before heading down the aisle.

I love these shots of Sam and her dad waiting to walk down the aisle.
Seeing his beautiful bride come down the aisle.

The Tuttles, Samantha’s sister and brother-in-law, officiated the wedding.

Love this shot by my hubby second shooter Koutsunis.

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Blair. When a couple gets married, two families come together. So I like to get a picture of both sides of the family together after the wedding.

Twinsies!  Sam and Cindy call each other “Sisso.”After the ceremony, it was off on the trolley to the reception at The Jepson Center.

Each table was decorated with silver branches dripping in crystals and candles. The tables were labeled with classic Savannah landmarks. Such a cute idea!

The cocktail hour was on the rooftop.
The Jepson Center is a beautiful modern venue with soaring ceilings and floating art pieces. It was a great place for a reception!

I love the way they did their grand entrance! Each member of the wedding party, and then the bride and groom danced down the staircase to be announced to the crowd.Love this shot of the bride and groom peeking in to see their friends’ entrance.

Kevin gave an awesome toast about the first time he saw Sam at work and how he set about winning her heart!

All the fab food and the cake were done by FORM. The funny thing is Sam and Kevin’s dog ate their cake topper the week before the wedding, so Urban Poppy stepped in and decorated the cake with fresh flowers instead. Great job, Anissa!
The toasts were so sweet! First Sam’s twin, Cindy spoke.

Then Kevin’s son, Bennett.  His toast was short and sweet!
Instead of a toast, Kevin’s daughter, Bailey, rewrote a Taylor Swift song about Kevin and Sam. She sang it acapella and it was beautiful.
Sam’s daddy’s speech brought her to tears.
Then it was time for the father / daughter dance.
The whole family! Then I had to post some of the fun dancing shots…. I have never seen bridesmaid bowling before.

Cindy and Matty! After all the sweetness, it was time to break it down – Gangnam Style!

Heeeeeeyyy , SEXY LADY!
We snuck off for a few romantics in the Jepson Center.

Their last dance was encircled by their friends and family.

After all the fun, it was off through the sparklers to a sweet Savannah style getaway.
And what could be more Savannah than a horse drawn carriage?

Sam and Kevin, thanks so much for sharing your sweet friends and family with me!  I feel so blessed that I got to be part of this special time of your life and cannot wait to see what the next chapter holds!
