Carolina and Matt’ s wedding was such a sweet occasion. Koutsunis and I headed down to my hometown of Statesboro, GA for their big day. Not only did I get to shoot a fabulous wedding, but I got to see my family as well…it was the best! The day started really early at the Split Ends Salon. Stefanie Slater did a fab job with Carolina’s hair. I love getting the pic of how crazy it looks when they start out.
Carolina’s veil was cathedral length and lined with a gorgeous lace. I took advantage of it when we were doing her bridals. I posted one that LOVE in her first look here.
Then we headed over to the Brannen House at the Statesboro Inn where Carolina got into her dress. First we had to get a dress shot. I love all the lace! Oh and her shoes were J.crew, the bride’s fav!
When Carolina’s daddy saw her for the first time words could not capture the emotion.
Here are a few of my favorite bridals! This first one is at the Statesboro Inn.
Then we headed across the street to Statesboro’s First Methodist Church where the ceremony took place.
She has some incredible lashes!
The inside of the church is gorgeous. I have not been inside of it since one of my best friends got married there almost ten years ago!
Matt was looking very handsome!
Carolina and Matt saw each other before the ceremony. Here is their “first look.”
Mr. & Mrs. Price!
Onto my favorites…the romantics!
Upstairs in the balcony there is a private little prayer room.
My shot from the balcony.
Koutsunis’ shot though the cross window in the door that leads into the sanctuary.
Another of the beautiful bride!
I had a little help from Carolina’s sister and MOH for this shot, Thanks Susanna!
All of the lovely ladies.
Mrs Jan Williams (a friend of the family) did a fabulous job with Carolina’s flowers. The bride carries a sweet bouquet of lily of the valley and her MOH and honorary bridesmaids carried yellow roses.
The men folk! And this is one of my favorite jumps simply because of that canon ball!
Down the aisle.
Married!
The reception was held at Forest Heights Country Club. The theme of the reception was travel. Carolina and Matt actually met on a missions trip that they took with First Methodist and travel has always been a big part of their relationship. So when the guests arrived at the reception they found their seats by the luggage tags that told them which table they were assigned to.
Then on each table there was a sign that told about a place that Carolina and Matt had both traveled to either together or separately and the sign told their guests a little fun fact about them being in that city.
The bride’s cake
The top of the grooms cake was made by Lisa Shepley of Lisa Mae Cakes. She is such a sugar artist. If you did not already know, Matt is a pilot and actually proposed to Carolina up in the air, you can see some shots of us up in the air from their engagement session ***HERE***
The bride and groom had a string quartet at both the wedding and at the reception.
After the dinner we snuck outside to take a couple of more romantics out on the golf course.
They had a really special get away car. Mr. Grady was one of Carolina’s clients at the bank. He brought his bright yellow model A and drove the couple off but only……after they ran through wands tied with yellow ribbons that were waved to wish them well. That is a lot of W’s hu ? hahaha! Every guest also got to take home a bottle of BBQ sauce that is Matt’s grandfather’s secret family recipe.
Love Carolina’s cute yellow dress. So bright and happy!
A little help getting in.
As they drove off it just started to sprinkle with the sun still shining. There is nothing like a little extra good luck like rain on a wedding day.
Thank you to Carolina & Matt and your friends and family for having us as part of your special day. It was a joy to witness the beginning of such a sweet marriage. May God bless you for many many many years!
