Georgia & Scott

September 13, 2013 |

You know how much I love a coastal wedding, and The Cloister at Sea Island is the ultimate venue for an elegant and classic wedding.

Georgia and Scott said “I do” here this summer in a classically beautiful ceremony and reception. I am so excited to finally share their beautiful day with you!

Georgia and her girls got ready at her Aunt Lou’s beach house. It was the perfect relaxing place for the girls to get pampered and gorgeous!

One of my former brides, Ashley Edenfield, did the girls’ hair and makeup.

The bride and her besties! You may recognize one of the bridesmaids: Laura Beth, holding her sweet little Laura Bennett.

Georgia had some beautiful bridal details. Her “something old” was a lovely brooch that belonged to her grandmother.

She pinned it to her bouquet. Her “something new” was her gorgeous Anne Barge gown. And check out those fab Diane von Furstenberg heels!

Laura Beth tied the perfect bow for the bride!

Scott got a little help from his Dad getting ready too.

All bridal and ready to see her groom! Georgia and Scott had their first look in the courtyard at The Cloister. It was a sweet moment.

Love this shot!

The flowers were in full bloom!  Georgia’s bridesmaids are looking gorgeous in classic black. The bridesmaids’ dresses are by Tibi.

They were the very first thing she picked for her wedding, and the rest of her wedding came together beautifully from this simple black and white palette and flirty and fun bridesmaid dress.

Beautiful Girls! Beautiful bride! Love this lovely white bouquet by Kelly Revels of Vine Garden
The handsome groom and his groomsmen We had to get some shots of Georgia and Scott on the Cloister Belle.

What a classic wedding party in black and white!

Some kisses for sweet Laura Bennett. Scott wore a special set of cuff links that were a gift from Georgia when they graduated law school.

A few more sweet kisses before the ceremony! Georgia and her girls played a game of Spades while they waited for the ceremony to begin.  The lovely ceremony took place at The Cloister chapel. It was a very sweet and emotional ceremony; there were definitely some tears shed.

Here comes the bride!
Wedding? Nailed it! After a victory like that, you’ve just gotta do the Heisman.  The newlyweds and the wedding party were led by the Sea Island bagpiper from the chapel to the cocktail hour.
Georgia and Scott got to enjoy some private moments at their own sweetheart table at the reception. The Cloister chef really outdid himself creating this delicious dinner! The Ballroom was splendid!

This was an awesome dancing group!  They cut a rug!  The Sea Island pastry chef created this delicious and elegant confection. Scott’s LSU and Mardi Gras themed groom’s cake was perfect for this Louisiana boy! After dinner and cutting the cake, the happy couple and their guests headed out to the dance floor and danced the night away!Loose Chain kept the crowd dancing. Of course we had to sneak away to the conference room where the G-8 summit was held. Beignets! A New Orleans delicacy. Georgia and Scott ended their reception on a high note, dancing their last dance to “Shout!” After the last dance, Georgia and Scott headed off through the sparklers to board the Cloister Belle. Instead of tossing her bouquet, she handed off her bouquet to her friend, Katherine.

Thanks for including me in your wedding celebration! I had a great time. To see all of Georgia and Scott’s pictures, click HERE! Enjoy!!
