I’m so excited to share this wedding with you! You might remember that I traveled to Maine to shoot Elizabeth and Michael’s gorgeous fall wedding. It was a beautiful day filled with love and laughter. You might remember from their engagement post that Elizabeth and Michael are already married. But because they got married in a private ceremony, they wanted to have another wedding ceremony that they could share with family and friends. And what better place to celebrate their new life together than Maine: their new home! So Koutsunis and I headed up to the Saddleback Resort in Rangely, Maine to photograph Elizabeth and Michael’s big day.
Elizabeth is a traditional bride and wanted to do the old, new, borrowed and blue tradition. Her something new was her earrings. She borrowed a little rabbit pin for good luck that one of her bridesmaids had used for luck while skydiving.
Elizabeth’s mom made her wedding gown, and she used pieces of her own wedding gown.
Her shoes were blue, and her mom sewed a blue ribbon into the inside of her dress.
She wore this fab bracelet and her something old was a ring that belonged to her grandfather/ Pappap!
Some of Elizabeth’s family: her aunts, uncle, grandma Shorty, and cousins couldn’t make it to the wedding, but they were able to Skype them in. It was a sweet emotional moment for everyone!
Elizabeth was surrounded by sweet friends and family. And these ladies helped her into her gown.
Gorgeous bride!
Michael the handsome groom…ready to see his bride!

Mr. & Mrs. Thompson!
Stunning bride!
Her lovely bouquet, and all the wedding flowers were by The Blooming Barn.
I was blown away by the beautiful fall color in Maine. While it was still warm and green in GA, Maine was chilly and covered in the lovely colors of fall.
Just love these two!
Elizabeth’s elegant and simple veil was also made by her mom.
Michael and his guys!
A toast to the groom!
Elizabeth chose a really cool bridesmaid dress by Sugar Bits called an Infinite Dress. It could be worn many different ways, so each girl could choose how she wanted her dress to look. And of course, they completed the look with Toms.
Everybody had on their Toms. . . even me!
A friend of Michael and Elizabeth played the bagpipes to lead the wedding party into the ceremony.
Even though there was no snow, Saddleback is a ski resort. So we decided to take advantage of the ski lift.
Elizabeth and her mom arrived at the ceremony in this horse and carriage from Meadow Creek Farm.
Ceremony Time!

All of Michael’s groom’s men acted like they had lost the wedding band! Funny Moment!
As part of the ceremony the two moms recited a poem about the hands of their children!
The whole wedding party & guests! Such a fun group!
For their wedding favor, Elizabeth and Michael wanted to send home a little piece of Maine, so they gave their guests Maine PURE maple syrup.
Elizabeth and Michael’s best man and maid of honor had some entertaining toasts for the happy couple.
The delicious food was catered by the resort, Saddleback.
Instead of wedding cake, Elizabeth and Michael had a variety of yummy pies by April at Sweet Dreams.
They played a little newly wed game!

At twilight, we slipped away to get a few shots of Elizabeth and Michael on the mountain.
